About a year ago, Shelton, a young puppy from Resistencia, Argentina, wondered up to the area of the Normal Sarmiento school. No one knew who he belonged to and he was mostly ignored, but not completely. Without him knowing it, a group of students and locals, who fell in love with the dog made it their mission to help him survive.
Thanks to the great power of social media, the efforts of those kind individuals, and the help of a local rescue group, Shelton’s days as a homeless and unwanted dog are now over.
Shelton’s story was shared over 800 times on Facebook, and that is how María Rosa Zago and her family learned about the dog. The Zago family adopted Shelton and now the former dog who scavenged the neighborhood during the day, will have two human siblings, a roof over his head and best of all, unconditional love.
A truly heartwarming story.
