It’s lucky that Sergeant Jon Levi, of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, was around when a fire broke out in Tennessee. Risking his life, Levi rushed in and pulled an unconscious dog from the home, and without a second thought gave her mouth-to-snout, saving her life.
“I just reached in and grabbed the dog and got the dog out and it was not breathing,” he said. At this point Levi took the pup outside and began to force air into it’s mouth.
“Grabbed it by its muzzle and breathed into it a couple of times, and I felt it tape a gasp of air,” Levi explained. “It was good. It was neat. To be honest with you, my first reaction was, ‘Wow. It worked.’”
This is an amazing story of true heroism. I think it’s fair to say that if anything happens to you or your family, pet’s included, you would want Sergeant Jon Levi to be first on the scene.
