This is one of those stories you read that instantly make you think of a Hollywood biopic has to follow. It’s the story of a dog who was missing for four days and finally made it home. You’re probably;y thinking it’s not that special, well think again. This persistent pooch returned after getting his leg cut off by a train!
Max, a Yorkshire terrier and chihuahua cross – showed true determination to get home after he went missing. After his owners launched a Facebook appeal they were contacted by a woman who had spotted him on a footpath by a railway bridge.
Vets told Max’s owners, the Lamb family, from West Yorkshire in the UK, that his back left leg had been severed in a clean cut and was probably the result of him being struck by a train.
Max has shown a fighting spirit in not only returning home, but also in his recovery. He is now resting up at home, wearing a buster collar to keep him away from his stitches. This dog has heart!
