Summer is just around the corner! And believe it or not your dog is just as excited as you are. Here are 3 tips to make it an awesome summer for you and your dog.
Going for a walk.
. Always remember that if you can’t walk on the hot pavement barefoot, your dog will be suffering too. If you can’t find dog booties try alternative surfaces, grass is best. Also bring water on long walks to help keep everyone hydrated.
. You don’t necessarily have to be the outdoor type to have quality time in the summer. You can simply spend time in your backyard. Buy a paddling pool or some out door toys for your dog and have fun at home.
. Never, ever, ever ever, leave your dog tethered or locked up in your car for long periods of time, in the summer. It sounds like simple common sense but a lot of people do it and a lot of dogs suffer every year, so be careful.
Remember the road to a super fun starts with including your dog!
