Few things exists in this wonderful world of ours that is cuter than a newborn puppy. From those big bug eyes, to that cute little button nose, they have our hearts from the word go, and just like a baby, puppies can be vulnerable. When he/she is scared often owners panic, but here are 3 things you can do to make life a lot easier when this happens.
Identify the problem.
The first thing you need to do is Identify what caused your dog to be frightened. Some dogs have naturally anxious personalities but more often than not there is a reason. After identifying the issue do all in your power to remove it, when the source is gone, comfort and calm your dog.
Stay calm at home.
Dogs are our best friends for a reason, they often pick up and sometimes mirror our negative emotions. If your dog is in fear-mode and you are angry with your dog he will sense that, and you won’t be able to calm him down.
Always create a safe environment for your pet. Make sure that you give your puppy a place where he feels safe. Make his/her area dog friendly with chew toys big blankets and assorted doggy goods.
Following the easy tips above will make life both easier for you and for your new BFF.
