As a dog owner, you’re going experience this at least once. The plan was to take your little buddy for a relaxing stroll through the park, but as soon as his paws hit the concrete, he changes his mind, and chaos ensues.

Your best bet as with all dog tips, is to start with simple training exercises. Here is the method that worked for me best:

. Take your dog to somewhere quiet. Secure him to the leash and start walking. If he starts to pull against the collar, stop walking. Call him back to your side and start walking again. Repeat this process  over and over again till he understands which way is the right way. I know, it sounds boring, and that’s because it is, but I assure you it works and the benefits are priceless.

Rewards and praise is the best step forward. Like most training exercises, be sure to shower your pet with rewards and praise if he gets it right, even if he doesn’t, keep a calm tone and be patient.

With this tip in particular patience truly is a virtue! If you remember that you will be fine and those relaxing walks you seek will be ready for you to enjoy in no time!
